Teriyaki Steak Marinade


  • 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce , or coconut aminos
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 Tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2-3 Tablespoons honey
  • 2 Tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1-2 teaspoons fresh ginger , or 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger


  1. Trim any fat and cube steak if desired. Place the meat in a glass bowl or zip top bag. Set aside.
  2. Combine the soy sauce, water, oil, honey, Worcestershire sauce, garlic and ginger in a small bowl. Whisk until combined.
  3. Pour sauce over the steak. Seal bowl or bag and place the in the refrigerator and allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes. Best when marinated for 4-6 hours, or overnight.
  4. Cook steak as desired (notes below for cooking on grill). Let rest for 5 minutes, before serving. Slice against the grain. Serve while warm.
