Mojo Potatoes


  • vegetable oil, to taste, for frying
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon celery salt
  • 4 potatoes, unpeeled, scrubbed, sliced 1/4-inch-thick
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • ranch dressing or sour cream, to taste, for serving


  1. In a deep fryer or large pot, preheat the oil to 375 degrees F.

  2. In a shallow dish, combine the flour, the salt, the pepper, the garlic salt, and the celery salt.

  3. Dip the potato slices into the beaten eggs and then into the flour mixture to coat.

  4. Add the potato slices to the deep fryer and fry until they are golden-brown, about 5-7 minutes.

  5. Serve the potatoes with the ranch dressing.
