White Queso


  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • 1/4 cup white onions, finely chopped
  • 1 pound White American cheese
  • 4 ounces heavy cream
  • 1 (4-ounce) can green chilies, not drained


  1. Melt the butter in a medium frying pan.

  2. Add the onions to the butter and cook until they become translucent, about 3-5 minutes.

  3. Place the White American cheese and the heavy cream in a medium pan and heat over medium-low heat until the cheese melts.

  4. Add the green chilis and the cooked onions to the cheese mixture and stir well.

  5. Serve hot.
