Roasted Asparagus


  • 1 pound asparagus, washed and dried, woody stems removed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • lemon wedges, to taste, for serving
  • parmesan cheese, to taste, shredded, for serving


  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.

  2. Rinse the asparagus and pat them completely dry.

  3. Place the asparagus on a baking sheet and drizzle with the olive oil, tossing to coat.

  4. Arrange the asparagus in a single layer and leave space around them so that they roast and do not steam.

  5. Bake the asparagus until they are roasted and not too flimsy, about 10-15 minutes.

  6. Season the roasted asparagus with the salt and the pepper and toss to coat.

  7. Serve the roasted asparagus garnished with the lemon wedges and the parmesan cheese.
